You Have More Protection
Than You Realise
The Motor Industry Bargaining Council - MIBCO negotiates and enforces a Main Collective Agreement that covers nearly every aspect of your employment in South Africa's motor industry.
It applies to you whether you work at a dealership, a workshop, a fuel station, a parts distributor, or any other motor industry employer.
That agreement sets the floor, the minimum your employer must provide. And it's legally binding.
The problem is most employees have never read it. Most employers haven't explained it. And so the gap between what MIBCO guarantees and what workers actually receive stays hidden.
This community exists to close that gap.

Why We Built This
"A South Africa without unhappy employers and employees in the Motor Industry."
My name is Elleck Mgiba. I've spent more than 20 years in South Africa's motor industry — enforcing MIBCO agreements, advising employers, resolving disputes, and watching good people on both sides of the employment relationship get hurt because they didn't have the right information at the right time.
This community is my way of making sure that changes.
You work hard. You deserve to know exactly what the agreement that covers your employment says — and whether you're getting it.
