Why This Matters for Your Business

The conclusion of this agreement without industrial action (strikes) is a major win for the sector. It allows businesses to plan their budgets with certainty for the next three years.

Next Steps for Employers

  1. Wait for Gazetting: While the agreement is signed, it only becomes law for non-parties once gazetted by the Minister of Employment and Labour (expected December 2025).
  2. Budgeting: Start factoring these increase percentages into your financial forecasts for 2026 and 2027.
  3. Compliance: Ensure your payroll systems are ready to implement the Year 1 increases as soon as the effective date is confirmed.
